You heard it first at Superhero Hype!, and now singer/actress Beyoncé Knowles herself has confirmed that she is up for the role of Lois Lane in Warner Bros.' new Superman adaptation, to which McG is attached to direct.
She tells Extra, "I hope so. Everyone pray that happens for me." We'll have to wait and see what the studio decides to do with the casting.
Superhero Hype! had also learned from the same source that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp was being eyed for the role of Lex Lu

The 46th Annual Grammy Awards, irrevocably shaped by last weekend's
38th annual Super Bowl, played it safe with a tape-delayed "live" CBS
telecast, stick-to-the-script presenter banter and terribly polite
acceptance speeches.
No one delivered more such speeches than Beyonc. The 22-year-old R&B

Beyonce new spokesperson for Hilfiger Fragrance! 29-Jan-2004 Designer Tommy Hilfiger and singer Beyonce Knowles held publicly confirmed in a photo released on Janaury 27, 2004 by Hilfiger's publicist with the announcement that Hilfiger's company will team with Knowles in a multi-year deal establishing her as the spokesperson for a new fragrance slated for launch this fall. Beyonce is busy with Pepsi, Grammys and the Superbowl! 22-Jan-2004 Beyonce is back to her hectic schedule as she embarks on several huge events in February.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa - Beyonce Knowles, Bono, Peter Gabriel and
other musicians from around the world took to the stage for an AIDS
(news - web sites) benefit concert hosted by former South African
President Nelson Mandela.
More than 30,000 people, among them Oprah Winfrey and other
celebrities, filled Cape Town's Greenpoint Stadium on Saturday for
the show, part of Mandela's 46664 campaign to fight AIDS, named after
his number when he was imprisoned for his

Beyonce joins celebs to Save the Music and fights for AIDS victims! 28-Oct-2003 Beyonce joins such stars at Sheryl Crow and Mya in helping to save the music.
