Bon Jovi promotes NFL concert 31-Aug-2002 Credit AP News
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Jon Bon Jovi tuned up for next week's "NFL Kickoff Live From Times Square" concert by visiting the New York Giants.
The lead singer of Bon Jovi arrived by helicopter at Giants Stadium on Tuesday, just as the team was finishing practice for Thursday's preseason finale against the Baltimore Ravens. The New Jersey native spoke with coach Jim Fassel and lined up behind quarterback Kerry Collins to take a couple of handoffs.
After taking the first one, Fassel told him he was holding his hands the wrong way. Bon Jovi then fumbled the second.
