 Evighet - already a success! 14-Apr-2006
Carola's new single "Evighet" (the Swedish version of Sweden's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2006) is the biggest single hit in her 23 year long career.
After topping the Swedish download charts (both the official and iTunes chart), "Evighet" became Carola's FIRST EVER no. 1 single in Sweden.
"Evighet" became the most sold single in Sweden in March and has now reached gold status four weeks after its release.
The track record on the Swedish Singles chart read:

Carola won Melodifestivalen 27-Mar-2006
Carola won Melodifestivalen last Saturday with a song called "Evighet". In May she has the chance to represent Sweden in Eurovision Song Contest from Athens, Greece.

Carola is a Swedish singer who was born in Stockholm in September 1966. She appeared on television for the first time after winning a talent show in 1977. In 1982 record company president Bert Karlsson discovered her and she was offered to take part in Melodifestivalen - the Swedish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest - the same year, but she said no. However, in 1983, she decided to participate with "Främling", which became Carola's big breakthrough. She won Melodifestivalen with full points from all juries. The new album "Störst av allt" will include hymns, lovesongs and some new songs, including the song Carola wrote for her mother, and performed at her funeral.
The album has been recorded in Sweden, Norway and South Africa since January this year.

 Tata Young covers Carola's "I Believe In Love" 27-Aug-2004
The singer Tata Young from Thailand has recorded a cover version of Carola's 2002 hit "I Believe In Love" (from the album "My Show" Universal Music 2001).
Tata Young is a very popular artist in Thailand and though she is only 23 years old, she released her seventh album titled "I Believe" earlier this year.

 TWO CONCERTS IN STOCKHOLM 11-Mar-2004
News from Carola International:
Carola will perform at two concerts this summer to celebrate the 250th birthday of the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
The concerts will be held June 2 & 3, and other performers include Tommy Körberg, Lill Lindfors and the Real Group.
