On the Oscar night, the 72nd Academy Awards, Cher appeared för once with a quite ordinary, but yet beautiful gown. She is known for wearing odd clothes on the Oscars night (because once when she said she wanted to become an actress, somebody laughed and told her she wasn't "serious enough").
First she had some problems walking with it and said "Damn this dress" and "You've probably noticed already that I'm dressed as a grown-up ... I promise never to do it again".
