 Illusionist Criss Angel wows Times Square 29-Aug-2002
August 26th/27th - Congratulations to illusionist Criss Angel for setting out to create a new world record and succeeding.
In a homage to Harry Houdini, Criss was chained, shackled and submerged in a 220 gallon tank of water for 24 hours without eating, sleeping or using the bathroom. His only source of oxygen (which was from a 3/8’’ air tube) was pulled out of the tank at the 24th hour. At this point, to defy death, Criss Angel freed himself from the chains and shackles to escape the water torture cell before his last breath drowned out.
