Newfoundland Artist Sculptor Virtual Galleries Gerard was born in Marystown,
Newfoundland. After he finished
his studies in Fine Arts at
Bay Saint George,He
transferred to N.S.C.A.D.
(The Nova Scotia College of
Art and Design),
with one years advanced
standing. He remained on the
mainland once graduating from
N.S.C.A.D. and continued to
make art and exhibit at every
chance.He took part in solo
and group shows in Halifax,N.S.
,Saint John, and Fredericton,
N.B. During that time He also
returned home to a solo
exhibit at the LSPU Hall,
called, "Three Pieces of Art,
Three Pieces of History" as
well as the
"No Fishing Exhibit" a show
of Newfoundland artist.
One of the pieces from the
"Three Pieces" exhibit was
purchased by the
Art Gallery of Newfoundland
for it's permanent collection.
He is presently employed as
Sculpture Technician at
Sir Wilfred Grenfell College,
In Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
