 HAPA'S COMING CONCERTS 1-Dec-2005
Hapa — that's Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau brought Hawaiian music to a mainstream audience when the group performed a 4 song vinette at the Hollywood Reporter Billboard Magazine Annual Music Conference Nov. 15. They were joined onstage by good friend Kenny Loggins who showed his skills at singing in Hawaiian. Also on stage was long time friend and fan of Hapa, Peter Fonda, who lended his support for the first performance of contemporary Hawaiian music for this type of event.
It marked the first time an Island act gets such a boost.
