There were five releases that contained the words “Slack Key Guitar” in the title, and four that made the final ballot. Hmm. It does not appear that any Hawai’i act made the final ballot in any other categories in which they were eligible. ~Mahalo Gregg for the information and support.

Don Ho undergoes experimental heart procedure 7-Dec-2005 The show at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel has been dark since he left for Asia on Nov. 26
Legendary Hawaiian crooner Don Ho was recovering in an intensive care unit at a Thailand hospital today following an experimental stem cell procedure on his ailing heart.
