Herb’s interest in music was very evident at an early age. Herb’s grandmother taught him his first song on the ‘ukulele at the age of three. At the age of 17, he became a devotee of Hawaiian music and the ‘ukulele. Herb has recorded on 45 recordings. He is a six-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award Nominee and a two-time Hawai‘i Music Award Winner.
Nathan's early years consisted of piano lessons, learning the guitar and ukulele and having the natural ability to sing. From 7th to 12th grade his main instrument was the saxophone…
He started his professional career accompanying performers such as Gabe Baltazar, Henry Kapono, Loyal Garner and Nohelani Cypriano to name a few. He was a member of the Hoku award winning group, Ka'eo, as well as with the award winning group The Ali'i's. He also did a 15 year stint with Don Ho. Nathan is also one half of the group called "HAPA". Nathan's recent c.d. “E Apo Mai”, won Hokus awards “Male Vocalist of the Year”, and “Song of the Year. | Page: Page:
