News from Jackie Chan's management is that the Dimension release of Drunken Master II this mid-year, will be left largely intact!
All scenes of the film except for a small obscure segment at the end, where the main character pretends to be temporarily blind, will remain in their version. However, the original musical soundtrack for the film is another matter. Dimension has been unable to obtain a useable format for their reproduction, so the company has no choice but to rescore their own. But Dimension stipulate the rescore will be complimentary to the original.

Dimension Films (a Miramax company) are releasing an English version of Jackie Chan's most renowned film Drunken Master II. The film was originally made in 1994, however Dimension plan to release it this year, to coincide with Jackie's new Hollywood release coming out on May 24th, Shanghai Noon.
Rumours are running around the internet that Dimension will be re-editing scenes and possibly changing the soundtrack, as they have done with their previous releases. However this time there is nothing substantial to say whether this is true or not.

Als Jackie geboren wurde, wog er 6kg und sah aus wie eine Kanonenkugel.
Wegen Geldmangel waren seine Eltern gezwungen, Jackie an einen australischen Arzt für 24 $ (1500 HK $) zu
verkaufen. Die Eltern selbst zogen auch nach Australien und arbeiteten für die amerikanische Botschaft. Jackie´s
Vater als Koch und Jackie´s Mutter war Hausfrau. Mit 7 Jahren geht Jackie zurück nach Hong Kong für 10 Jahre
auf die Peking Opera School unter der Führung vom Meister Yu Shan Yuan. Zu dieser Zeit kamen seine Eltern auch
wieder nach Hong Kong zurück. Wä
