*NSYNC singer Joey Fatone will make his Broadway debut in the musical Rent this summer, according to the show's producers. Fatone will star as filmmaker and video artist Mark Cohen in the New York company of the Tony Award-winning musical. Fatone began rehearsals for the show on Monday (July 8), and he will make his debut on August 5.
Fatone's prior acting credits include roles in he films My Big Fat Greek Wedding, On The Line, and Longshot. Fatone began his career as a singer-actor as a teenager with a role as a singing and dancing werewolf in the Beetlejuice Graveyard Review Show at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Rent is currently playing at the Nederlander Theatre in New York City. Fatone will portray Mark through December 22. Tickets for Rent are available at the Nederlander box office and via ticketmaster.com.
