"My laptop was completely ruined when my office flooded. Even the hard disk was wrecked; but I didn't lose a single document."

The Judy Room Coming November 21st on DVD:
Judy Garland's ill-fated t.v. show in
1963 is today considered a classic.
As
well as a classic example of a
network
not knowing how to properly
showcase a
legend.
By the time Garland began her
series,
she was already known as a "living
legend," and Judy hoped the series
would
give her financial security after years
of her money being mismanaged by
the
people handling her.
Sadly for Judy, this was not to be.
The network
changed
the format of the show, changed
directors, supporting players, and on
and on. By the time the show really
got
it's momentum going by letting "Judy
be
Judy" it was too late.
Aside from all that, we now have a
legacy of wonderful performances
and
wonderful guest stars (and future
stars
like a young Barbra Streisand)
singing
along with Judy.
The shows are now being
remastered and
released, this Volume 4 is the most
recent release, and features FOUR
episodes, Show #8 includes TV
star/actor/singer George Maharris;
comic
Jack Carter; and the "Hillbilly" singing
group "The Dillards," along with
series
regular Jerry Van Dyke); Show 19
(Guests include: movie star/actor
Louis
Jordan
("Gigi") Show 24 (Judy in
Concert with special Guest singer
Vic
Damone, which features Judy
singing
nearly a dozen songs, followed by
Vic's
2 solos, a medley from the Broadway
musical "Kismet" by Judy and Vic,
and
finally Judy's "Born In A Trunk"
closing
segment where she sings "Lost In
The
Stars"); and Show 25 (Judy in
Concert
with guest jazz singer Robert Cole
and
his Trio, which follows the format of
Show 24 - watch for Judy's RIVETING
performance of "Old Man River."
Show 25
also
includes the stop-and-starts within
the
body of the show.
