Judy Garland was one of the greatest entertainers the world has ever known. She sang with more emotion and feeling than any other singer in the history of show business. Her legend is carried strongly by her many fans even thirty + years after her death. She was born Frances Ethel Gumm, June 10, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She made her film debut while on loan to Fox in "Pigskin Parade." Some of her other films include, (of course) "The Wizard of Oz," "A Star is Born," "Meet Me In St. Louis," "The Pirate" "Babes In Arms," and "Easter Parade." She also made history many times with her great one-woman concerts and single-handedly re-opened the Palace Theater! Sadly, Judy died at the young age of 47 on June 22, 1969.
