A century is not enough to mark the awe-inspiring career of legendary dame Julie Andrews, in one fan's opinion. Julie may not have ruled the 90's a la Mariah Carey, but she ruled the 60's and in the new millennium, she continues to endure as timeless as a precious jewel. With current DVD releases such as Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary Special, Princess Diaries 2, and Broadway: The American Musical (to name a few!), there's just enough Julie to go around, yet some fans are still pining for more.

Cinderella fans, the wait is over! CBS-TV broadcast of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella," will be reaired — for the first time since the original 1957 telecast — on PBS stations in December.
"Someone was kind enough to tell me just as I was about to go on, that more people would possibly see our single performance than all the packed houses at My Fair Lady for 100 years. Remember, it was all live!" So says Julie Andrews about her 1957 performance in the CBS-TV Cinderella broadcast.

Superstar actress - considered the most popular woman in entertainment at one point in her career - none other than the inimitable Dame Julie Andrews, who made the hills alive with her trills, once played the fairy-tale character Cinderella in a live TV performance on CBS. There are rumors flying that the videotape of Cinderella 1957 starring Julie may finally be released in the Spring of 2003. A petition has been launched to remaster and publish the 1957 "Cinderella" starring Julie Andrews. Many fans of Julie Andrews and Rodgers and Hammerstein have not yet seen the movie since it is only available on pirated copies or can be seen in the Museum of Television and Radio. The petition targets fans who wish to own a copy of the live broadcast that set a ratings record with its premiere showing on March 31st, 1957.
