Kate has accepted the female lead in the film Pearl Harbor. Scheduled for a May '01 release, she will be playing the part of Evelyn, a Navy nurse who falls for Ben Afflack's character. I'd recommend reading the BBC article about Kate's role in this movie. She will be travelling to Hawaii to begin filming next month. Hopefully she'll get a chance to work on her tan.
