Marc Baron; Official Actor of the New millennium Marc first began acting and singing in grade school. In high school he began writing and directing many school projects, including a benefit that raised $14,000 for Cancer research. His acting. singing and directing continued in college where Prof. Joseph Miranne took Marc on as a protégé both as an actor and director. Marc was titled the ‘Most likely to succeed’ by the college theatre club.
After service Navy intelligence, Marc continued his studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and H. B. Studios. Fred Kelly, brother of Gene Kelly, became Marc’s friend and muse, mentoring him in the early stages of his career. Fred brought Marc into The Lambs, the famed theatrical club, where Marc quickly became a featured performer. Shortly after, Marc began writing and managing productions in The Lambs, and eventually became the Director of Entertainment for that organization and one of the youngest officers in its 125+ year history.
Professionally, Marc has appeared in the films 'Mortal Thoughts',' Big', and'Bullets Over Broadway'. He has extensive work as a stand-in and photo-double where he was been nick-named the ‘Long Chaney of stand-ins’ for his uncanny ability to physically imitate actors. He has worked with actors including Dustin Hoffman, Matthew Broderick, Michael J. Fox, Sean Penn, Sean Connery...and with directors including Sidney Lumet, Andrew Bergman and Woody Allen...and with cinematographers such as Carlo DiPalma, Don Thorin, Bill Fraker and Zhao Fei. It is from their teachings that Marc has honed his directing abilities. On television he has appeared in 'The Street' (starring Stanley Tucci) and an episode of' Gimme a Break'.
As a writer. Marc has co-authored the stage musical, 'Love of a Lifetime', and a comedy western screenplay,' Don’t Call Me Cisco'. He co-wrote the police action-drama, 'Blue Shirts', that is scheduled to begin filming in New York this fall. Marc is Co-Producer and acting in a supporting role. His comic screenplay, 'Hot Properties', has gained tremendous interest and is headed towards production with Marc directing.
