Dame Elizabeth Taylor made her now traditional late arrival as she attended a musical celebration in her honour accompanied by pop superstar Michael Jackson. The screen siren was helped
from a limousine as she arrived at London's Royal Albert Hall with Jackson on her arm, waving to devoted fans who had braved torrential rain Dame Elizabeth was decked out in her favourite colour, lilac, with a top trimmed by marabou feathers and sequined trousers. Jackson wore an ecclesiastical style black frock coat with a gold and white crest emblazoned across the front.
The evening was quiet for Michael and Liz. They both enjoyed the performances, participating in the standing ovation that ended
Andrea Bocelli's number.
As the tribute concert came to an end. Liz Taylor appeared on stage to address the crowd. After her speech, Michael joined her on stage and presented her with a huge bunch of flowers. He then hugged her. Then, Joan Collins came and Michael kissed her. The rest of the night's performers joined them on stage for the evening finale.
