 Meet Michael Mahonen at AvCon 2007 18-Jun-2007
The AvCon07 committee is pleased to announce our 3rd convention in Toronto. After holding conventions in 2004 / 2005 it was decided to go onto a rotation of every other year. Why? To build interest in the convention, to give those wishing to attend the time to make all of their financial and travel plans and to ensure that actors who might be working one summer, but are not working the next, might be able to participate in the AvCon experience.
The schedule for AvCon07 is as follows:

Mickey will be a featured speaker on Sunday, July 25th, at the 1st Annual Road to Avonlea Convention, being held at the Black Creek Pioneer Village.
Afterward, there will be an opportunity for his fans to take photos and get autographs!

SECOND ANNUAL OXFORD FILM FESTIVAL SET FOR JUNE 17-20
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Second Annual Oxford Film Festival, presented by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, will be held in Oxford, Mississippi on June 17-20, 2004, at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Mississippi.

Michael Mahonen has worked in both the United States and Canada. He is best known for his role as 'Gus Pike' in the internationally acclaimed television series "Road to Avonlea," for which he received 3 Gemini Award Nominations.
He has acted in numerous film and television projects, such as "Star Trek: Voyager", "A People's History of Canada", "Conspiracy of Silence" (Gemini Award for lead actor), "Strong Medicine" and most recently a one hour teleplay of "Macbeth" and a guest star performance in the new CBC series "This Is Wonderland".
