After the sad occurances of September 11, 2001, Michael Mahonen visited several of his fans guest books to offer his condolences---here is his message to his American fans
I offer deep condolences for what has happened in the United States. Canada and the U.S. are very close in so many ways. Shock and great sorrow is being felt here as well. Our hearts are with you in your grieving. May we never again see the occasion for this type of occurrence.
