 Mahonen Film to show at Oxford
SECOND ANNUAL OXFORD FILM FESTIVAL SET FOR JUNE 17-20
OXFORD, Miss. -- The Second Annual Oxford Film Festival, presented by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, will be held in Oxford, Mississippi on June 17-20, 2004, at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Mississippi.
More than 90 films from across the country and around the world have been accepted. Categories for competition in the festival include Feature, Short, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, Youth and Music Video. Panel discussions will focus on film soundtracks, documentary production, screenwriting and a talent and casting workshop.
Among the films shown will be Michael Mahonen's film, "Sandstorm". It will be shown at the Two Stick venue on Friday, June 18th, at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the Oxford Film Festival can be purchased through www.oxfordfilmfest.com. The cost is $12 per day or $36 for a four-day pass. Tickets will be available at the door during the event and at Hot Dog Records on the Oxford Square.
