The AvCon07 committee is pleased to announce our 3rd convention in Toronto. After holding conventions in 2004 / 2005 it was decided to go onto a rotation of every other year. Why? To build interest in the convention, to give those wishing to attend the time to make all of their financial and travel plans and to ensure that actors who might be working one summer, but are not working the next, might be able to participate in the AvCon experience.
The schedule for AvCon07 is as follows:
Friday July 27, will be visits to Anne of Green Gables and road to Avonlea filming site in Toronto and a visit to Sullivan Entertainment Studio to see how filming is done.
Saturday July 28, will be held at Black Creek Pioneer Village to meet with actors, writers and composers of the Avonlea productions .
Sunday July 29, will be held at The Royal Ontario Museum, where we will hold our charity auction.(AvCon07 has the honor of having the ROM as our designated charity for 2007)
Invitations to be guest speakers at AvCon07 have been sent to Avonlea actors, composers and writers.
To date, Michael Mahonen (Gus Pike), Ian D. Clark (Simon Tremayne), and James O'Regan (Constable Jeffries) are scheduled to appear Saturday at Black Creek Pioneer Village.
