as Schroeder too, but I've
also read that it might be
Herbert. Phonetically, they
sound similar

Education: The Prince of
Wales Secondary School,

1980. He spent three years

Employment: Prior to taking
up full-time acting at the
age of 25, Nick had spent
two years in the Canadian
Navy, sold men's clothes in
a store, and been a
member of an alternative
rock band called Beau
Monde for five years. The
band was never
professional, but they made
a demo disc at one point. It
has been reported that Nick
was a singer with Beau
Monde, and this is probably
true because one of his
interests is singing, but the
X-Files Official Magazine, in
its biography of him stated
that he played guitar with
the band but did not sing. In
interviews, Nick has
referred to having been a
'singer for four years' with
Beau Monde

Family: He has an older
brother and sister
Hobbies: Movies, cooking,
sports, including tennis,
golf, skiing, basketball,
rugby and soccer. He will

evident in parts of British
Columbia. As a purely
apocryphal aside, I have
skied in Canada, and I was
interested to notice that
Canadians sometimes do
curse in British, and Nick
most likely does too. I'm
sure you all can imagine
the expletives I mean! Nick
also likes to sketch and
play the guitar
Distinguishing features:
Apart from a good-looking
face, that is. His left ear is
pierced, and he has (or
had) a noticeable brown
mole or birthmark on the
back of his right shoulder
He is reported to dislike
removing his shirt in front of
the camera, and has had
arguments with directors
about this. Well, for
someone who dislikes
disrobing, he seems to
whip his shirt off quite
happily at times: The Raffle
(where he literally did whip
it off and fling it across the
room where it landed on a
moose's head), Xtro II, The
Commish's 'Officer April'
episode, Lonesome Dove,
and the Outer Limits
episode 'The Inheritors'. He
doesn't even have a vest on
in this last one, but then he
plays a corpse who comes
back to life in a mortuary
and goes in search of
something to wear. And
corpses don't wear vests. I
have a blurry picture of his

- no tattoos or nipple rings.
Just a nice chest.
About girlfriends: He dated
Melinda McGraw for some
time, around four years or
so. They met on the set of
The Commish and lived
together for a while. Since
then he has also dated
Lucy Liu (97-98) and Laurie
Holden (98). The trail goes
fairly cold there
