Patricia Arquette Online Patricia Arquette was born on April 8, 1968, in Chicago. Her father, Lewis, is an actor, and her mother, Mardi, was a poet. She has a sister, Rosanna (9 years older), and 3 brothers, Richmond (5 years older), Alexis (1 year younger), and David (4 years younger).
When Patricia was very young, her family moved to an actor's and musician's commune in Arlington, Virginia. Soon after, Rosanna left home to pursue a career in acting. At 12, Patricia shaved her head and followed Rosanna to California. Her first role was in Pretty Smart, in 1986, but she gained attention as Kristen in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors a year later.
In 1993, she made True Romance her most well-received and high-profile movie, co-starring Christian Slater, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, and Christopher Walken. Other movies include Nightwatch, with Ewan McGregor; Stigmata; and Adam Sandler's upcoming Little Nicky. She won an award for her role in 1991's Wildflower.
She has a son, Enzo Rossi, born in 1989. In 1995, she married Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, and she and her son shared homes in California and England with Nicolas and his son, Weston. Patricia and Nicolas starred in Bringing Out the Dead together in 1999, less than a year before announcing their divorce. On February 25, 2000, he filed for divorce, and they are in the process at this writing.
Patricia, with her brothers and sisters, has often spoken out about research for breast cancer after her mother's death from the disease in 1997. She was the 1999 Lee National Denim Day spokesperson and ran in the Race for the Cure the same year.
