 2005 Hawaii Music Awards - Pop Album of the Year
Winners of the 8th Annual Hawai'i Music Awards
were announced on February 23rd, 2005 by the
Music Foundation of Hawai'i.
Scott Katsura and his "Aloha Miles Away" CD was
awarded the honor of 'Pop Album of the Year'.
Airtime Recording Company, Inc. based in New York
City, and Scott Katsura, would like to extend their
deepest love and gratitude for each and every
supporter who voted. According to Scott, "We
receive this award in honor of the people, the fans,
these very individuals who made it all possible to
begin with. I am here because of them!".
Congratulations to all the 2005 Hawai'i Music
Awards winners and nominees, as well, the Music
Foundation of Hawai'i, Johnny Kai and his wonderful
establishment. May your lives always be filled with
love, peace and joy!
Voting was open to the general public on the
foundation's Web site www.hawaiimusicawards.com
from Jan. 29 to Feb. 21, 2005. The site recorded
more than 593,000 hits during the voting period.
The award ceremony will be conducted on April
23rd, 2005 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Tapa
