 Uncut Monkees Live DVD Available For Pre-Order! 24-Jul-2003
On August 31, 2001, The Monkees played a concert in Anaheim, CA that was filmed & recorded by King Biscuit Entertainment. After the petition campaign led by Monkeesrule43 Online & Andrea of www.fanstuffonline.com, King Biscuit eventually released the concert on DVD & CD as "Live Summer Tour." Unfortunately, the DVD only included one hour of the concert and the CD only featured 15 songs & comedy bits.Earlier this year, Monkee fans rallied to get the full, uncut concert released. Today (7/18), the day the extended & uncut "Live Summer Tour" pay-per-view broadcast was supposed to take place, King Biscuit has just told me the news we've all been waiting for... A DVD of the complete & uncut Monkees concert filmed on August 31, 2001 is now available for pre-order! When you place an order through this page, it only verifies the user's cerdit card. You will not be charged until they ship the product. After a little over a month, the Extended & Uncut "Monkees - Live Summer Tour" Petition has over 520 signatures. I have just come to an agreement wih King Biscuit Entertainment on the subject. They are impressed with our numbers so far and feel that if I can guarantee 1,000 sales, they will almost definitely make a limited run of 1,000 uncut DVDs at a tentative price of $49.98. A final price and any possible bonus features are still waiting to be determined. While the $49.98 price tag may seem a little much, keep these facts in mind:

Rhino Records has announced the release of a new greatest hits package, "The Best of The Monkees," which features 25 Monkees classics, such as "Daydream Believer," "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone," & "I'm A Believer," as well as a bonus karaoke disc and liner notes with contributions by Mike Nesmith.
