Agreement Made With King Biscuit For Live DVD! After a little over a month, the Extended & Uncut "Monkees - Live Summer Tour" Petition has over 520 signatures. I have just come to an agreement wih King Biscuit Entertainment on the subject. They are impressed with our numbers so far and feel that if I can guarantee 1,000 sales, they will almost definitely make a limited run of 1,000 uncut DVDs at a tentative price of $49.98. A final price and any possible bonus features are still waiting to be determined. While the $49.98 price tag may seem a little much, keep these facts in mind:
1.) The price is not final yet
2.) This will be a very limited collector's edition that may become valuable in the future.
3.) We're getting more than twice the footage that the original DVD had.
4.) Limited DVD runs cost more than mass runs for the production company, therefore a larger cost for buyers.
5.) This concert holds historical importance as Peter Tork's last concert & the only professionally filmed concert in the group's almost 40 year existance.
6.) This is close to the approximate cost a concert ticket from the 2001 summer tour.
For anyone who plans to own this DVD at any point in your life, whether it be when KB releases it, you buy a used copy, etc. your signature is needed as well as those who plan to buy it when it is first available. Think about it this way: If you don't show your support for it now, you won't have it at all later.
Help us reach our goal of 1,000 signatures by signing the petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/mk1u4343 and telling all of your friends & family about it!
