Happy New Years A message from one of the US Marine's who was injured in Iraq.
Here it is the last day of the year and I don't know where to begin to thank people. It has been a long journey to recovery since that day on the battlefield in Falluja, Iraq on June 18, 2004; but thanks to family, friends, and strangers, I am doing well. I am proud to be a Marine and to have served my country and to defend it's freedom. I would not be where I am today without the prayers and support from so many people. Thank you all!! I hope to have the opportunity someday to meet those of you who I have never met and thank you in person. There are so many people to thank and I would love to give a hug to each and everyone of you. I don't want to start naming the names of all the people that supported me and my family because I don't want to leave anyone out. I deeply appreciate that Kathy Boast allowed the community the opportunity to post their messages on her website. My mom would like to thank all the staff at the MUSC Storm Eye Institute for all their support, and my dad would like to thank the City of Charleston and the Charleston Police Department for all their support as well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all and God bless.
Love,
