"My laptop was completely ruined when my office flooded. Even the hard disk was wrecked; but I didn't lose a single document."

Van Buren in pantomime - review The Stage newspaper review of Cinderella: Like the speciality juggling act by Andrew Van Buren, drawing gasps as he sets multiple plates spinning, this panto pulls together performers from different showbusiness strands, who keep the whole afloat and zipping along, with audience involvement a key feature.
A riot of noise is assured from the moment Curley Carter and Gina Millington dispense with tossing sweets into the auditorium and jet everyone with water instead. Their wildly inventive costumes as stepsisters Germoline and Clearasyl are a delight, as is their practised style of comical unison.
Helen Fraser brings character acting to her role as Baroness Bodybag, a veritable termagant, hurling insults at the audience - just as well she has a voice powerful enough to cut across the reaction.
Ventriloquist Andy Cunningham weaves his Bodger and Badger act into the role of Baron. Pauline Fleming, taking a break from Corrie, makes a glamorous Fairy Godmother. Stand-up comedian Steve Barclay works the audience with practised skill as Buttons.
From cabaret, Peter Donegan brings a good singing voice to the part of Dandini, while Hollyoaks’ David Brown has the looks as Prince Charming, opposite Laura Jaye’s winsome Cinderella.
Good show all round - despite the clock chiming midnight but showing 11.30.
