Wes Studi Cherokee Actor Cherokee Holiday in Tahlequah, Oklahoma over Labor Day Weekend was an exciting event for many Wes Studi fans. Wes' Official International Fan Club, known as The StudiGroup, converged on Tahlequah for their first ever meeting with Wes.
Wes Studi provided riveting performances as "Magua" in Michael Mann's "Last of the Mohicans" and the title role in "Geronimo: An American Legend." He also appeared as The Sphinx in last year's Universal Studio film, "Mystery Men" opposite Ben Stiller and William H. Macy, and in many other productions.
The StudiGroup set up a booth at the Cherokee Heritage Center to sell t-shirts, night shirts and other items. Part of the proceeds went to the Cherokee Heritage Museum. In addition StudiGroup Members watched the Annual Cherokee Parade (Wes was in it), a Stomp Dance, and a Pow Wow. The high point of the Weekend was the group's three hour meeting with Wes Studi.
