X-Files Still Makes News After TWO Years Off The Air Friday, November 21, 2003
The X-Files marks series finale on Studio 23
STUDIO 23 becomes the first network in the Philippines to broadcast the long-awaited series finale of one of the best science-fiction shows in history when it airs "The Truth, Part 2," The X-Files series finale, this Friday, November 28 at 9 p.m.
Boasting of a return appearance by former series lead David Duchovny, as well as guest appearances by some of the series' most notable characters, including The Cigarette-Smoking Man (William B. Davis), Alex Krycek (Nicholas Lea), and the dearly departed The Lone Gunmen, "The Truth" seeks to tie up all the dangling plot threads from the whole nine years of this groundbreaking, multi-awarded show.
It has indeed been a long, strange trip for Agent Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). As a skeptical young doctor, Scully was first drafted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to keep tabs on another young agent, the brilliant but quirky Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), whose bullheaded investigations into paranormal phenomena earned him the derisive nickname of "Spooky" from his peers.
In the nine years since The X-Files became a pop culture phenomenon, Mulder and Scully have investigated a mind-boggling array of cases, from alien abduction to bile-eating mutants, shapeshifters to circus freaks, killer bees to killer twins, in adventures taking them everywhere from the Mojave desert to the Bermuda Triangle.
Because Duchovny has mostly sat out the ninth season, his return is a cause for rejoicing for many long-time fans, but also in for the ride are ninth-season regulars Robert Patrick (Agent John Doggett), Annabeth Gish (Agent Monica Reyes), Cary Elwes (Agent Brad Follmer), James Pickens Jr. (FBI Deputy Director Alvin Kersh) and Mitch Pileggi (FBI Director Walter Skinner).
Studio 23 invites you to witness the last episode of the cult classic The X-Files this Friday, November 28 at 9 p.m.
